T-Bone

T-Bone was our first large animal rescue. When we purchased the property for the sanctuary & rescue, he was the only animal resident. The previous owners had bought him to fatten him Up and slaughter for eating. When they sold us the property, they asked us if we would like to purchase him as well. We jumped at the opportunity. Later, as the owner was advising on how to plump him up, we informed him, “oh no, we won’t be eating the cow, he’s a rescue cow now!” Since he had been alone for a long time, he was thrilled to try to play with our 11 year old Bernese Mountain Dog! We decided he needed a friend and so we purchased another cow and told T-Bone he had a family now!
